General Contraindications GENERAL CONTRAINDICATIONS: Under 18 years of age Pregnancy/nursing Current cancer Accutane within 6 months History of cancer (especially skin/malignant moles) Immunocompromised (AIDS/HIV/immunosuppressive meds) Known allergies to cosmetics or other products or allergic reactions like hives Inflamed/active skin conditions: eczema, fragile skin, swelling, rosacea, psoriasis, burnt/injured skin, cystic/nodular acne, active herpes simplex History of keloid scarring or abnormal wound healing Surgical procedures within 6 weeks Ablative procedures within 6 weeks Uncontrolled current diabetes Neuropathies (loss of sensation) Pacemaker, defibrillator, internal electrical systems – consult with MD Metal facial reconstructive implants Chronic use of anticoagulants (BODY) Botox within 2–4 weeks Fillers within 4–6 weeks ULTRASOUND CONTRAINDICATIONS: Pacemaker or internal defibrillator, implanted neurostimulators or any other internal electric system. Metal implants in the treatment area. History of bleeding coagulopathies or use of anticoagulants. PDO threads, synthetic fillers, fat grafts, or silicone implants in the treatment area.
